THEORIA Student Arts & Writing Competition
2026 Theme: AMERICA 250
THEORIA is a student arts and writing competition inviting high school students to explore a shared annual theme through three philosophical lenses: Logos, Pathos, and Ethos.
For 2026, students are invited to reflect on America at its 250th anniversary through reason, personal perspective, and values.
Eligibility: Students in Grades 9–12
Entry Fee: $30 per submission
Submission Deadline: October 10, 2026
With the support of Assembly Member Phillip Chen, who will present the competition awards.

Submission Guidelines
Open to high school students in Grades 9–12
All submissions must be the student's original work
Generative AI may not be used to create the submitted work
One entry per category, per student
Students entering more than one category should submit a separate entry and entry fee for each category
Incomplete submissions may not be considered
Entries must be received by October 10, 2026
